Postministeriet complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This page describes which personal data we process, why, and for how long.
Who is responsible
Espenkrona Software Group AB is the controller for the data about you as a customer. For the email you send through the service, you as the customer are the controller, and we process the recipients' data on your behalf as a processor.
What we process
- Account details: your email address, your invoice email address and the domains you add. Passwords are only stored hashed.
- Messages: recipient addresses, subject, content and delivery status. These are needed to send the email and to let you see how delivery went.
- Statistics: the number of messages and recipients sent per day. These contain no addresses or content.
How long we keep it
Messages, their content and delivery events are deleted automatically after 30 days. Statistics are kept longer, since they are only counts. Account details are kept for as long as you have an account with us.
The suppression list
To respect recipients' wishes and protect the reputation of the service, we keep a list of addresses we are not allowed to send to. An address is added to the list when:
- the recipient's mail server reports that the address does not exist,
- the recipient marks the email as spam,
- the recipient unsubscribes,
- you as a customer add the address.
The list is kept even after the messages are deleted. Otherwise we would send to the address again, against what the recipient asked for. The legal basis is our and the recipient's legitimate interest in email not being sent against the recipient's wishes. An address stays on the list until it is removed.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. Email is handed over to the recipient's mail server, since that is how email is delivered. Data is not disclosed to anyone else unless we are required to by law.
Your rights
You have the right to request a copy of the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing and to object to it. Contact us at info@postministeriet.se. If you received email that one of our customers sent, please contact the sender first.
If you believe we process your data incorrectly, you can lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
